1. Does the System 3E wall really not need extra insulation?
The System 3E external wall is based on a 352 mm thick perlite element, which ensures thermal insulation without additional EPS, wool, or other insulation layers. The exact thermal transmittance is confirmed based on the manufacturer's certificates and the specific building project.
2. How are the elements connected without mortar?
The elements lock mechanically thanks to a patented tongue & groove system. The base layer is leveled precisely on the foundation, after which subsequent rows are laid dry without building mortar or block adhesive.
3. How are window and door openings and lintels handled?
The system includes special opening edge elements (EO/2) and U-shaped lintel elements (EN/EPN), which enable the bridging of openings without thermal bridges according to the design guidelines.
4. How does the quoting and delivery process work?
The customer sends the project drawings to Nordicclad. Our team checks the input, coordinates the element quantities according to the manufacturer's rules, and provides a precise delivery and price quote.
5. Is the System 3E perlite block fire and moisture resistant?
Perlite is a non-combustible natural volcanic mineral. The system's fire resistance class is up to REI 240 / A1 according to test reports. The element is breathable and resistant to moisture and mold.
